5 Ways to Simplify Your Life

The first week or two can be a little rough and chaotic which is probably why it’s the week designated to simplifying life. Here are five ways to help you get back in the school groove.

 

 

 

  1. Plan the night before. Nothing creates more morning drama than nothing to wear.
  2. Limit the incoming paper. Go through the mail every day and immediately discard junk and file what’s important.
  3. Clear the clutter. Countertops, drawers and closets seem to collect mounds and piles of clutter. Purge and move forward.
  4. Check the backpack every night. Whether it’s for homework, upcoming tests, projects, or permission slips, the backpack contains important and timely information. Don’t wait until morning to discover your child needs three pans of brownies for today’s party.
  5. Get organized. Invest in a calendar or use an app to coordinate activities, meetings, practices, appointments, etc. for the entire family.
