Equipment maintenance will preserve and extend the life of your beds. Basic cleaning helps the equipment run more efficiently and is an essential part of salon success. Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance will prolong the optimal working order of your equipment.
Here is a quick checklist for daily maintenance and cleaning taken from the Sun Is Life Training manual.
When cleaning a tanning room after a session, make sure it is left the way you would expect to see it from a guest’s point of view. Sanitize acrylics and wipe all surfaces the tanner may have touched. In addition to the sunbed’s acrylic shield, each of the following should be cleaned between sessions:
Pillow
Chair
Buttons/switches
Front/back ledges on the bottom of the bed frame
Floors
Sunbed canopy/handles
Fan knobs
Radio knobs
Timer knobs
Door knobs
Light switches
On/off buttons
Follow a daily as well as after-session cleaning and maintenance routine to keep your salon operational and profitable.
