Read on for tips to best utilize these holidays and events in your marketing. Proms, Graduations, Banquets:

This is a fab time to advertise all things sunless. Contour, packages, add-on sales, do it all. Ask your Account Manager for help with creating the perfect custom bundle sets with spray sessions and product. Ideas for bundles would be the sunless tan extenders, Nano Mist, bronzing powders, Lipstick Diva.

Weddings:

Host bridal party events for sunless spray & contour. If you offer hair and makeup offer those as bundle packages.

Create must-have items for the brides and her attendees, like lip gloss, bronzing powder, sunless drying powder, sunless spray and tan extender.

National Strawberry Month:

Spotlight all things fruit related in celebration. From packaging to fragrance to actual ingredients. Do a showcase on a display about the benefits of fruit extracts in your product lines.

Be social:  You could just focus on strawberries and ask their favorite strawberry food items. If you bring in products with fruit extracts be sure to spotlight the feature/benefits of those products.

May 6th – National Nurses Day:

Run specials for all your nurses or anyone in the medical profession.

Be social:  Showcase willing clients on your social media with a little blurb about how long they have been in the profession or their favorite thing about the profession. Add in their favorite product they buy at your salon.

May 9th – National Moscato Day – same concept for May 25th National Wine Day:

Have wine glasses filled with packets, lip balms, 2 oz moisturizers on special for the day. Showcase any products like Santorini Summer, Poolside Prosecco, Champagne Campaign, Partners In Wine, Black Chocolate Secret Reserve

Be social: Ask your clients what their favorite wine is. Do a giveaway of a gift certificate to your local winery or spirits store with a fab combo of things from your salon to all those that participate.

May 15th – National Chocolate Chip Day:

Serve your clients a treat with cookies from a local bakery. Showcase all products with chocolate in the name or ingredients. If you offer chocolate pedi, manis or facials be sure to put those on special for the day too.  If you offer Invisibobbles or Lipstick Diva, showcase your nude/brown colors.

Be social: Ask your clients to post photos with their favorite chocolate treats or if they are doing one of your chocolate services, see if they will pose for a photo. Take photos of all purchases made of your “chocolate lotions too”.

May 20th – National Be A Millionaire Day:

You could post specials with the theme “let us help you be on the way to Millionaire Status” and have random deals to choose from on a variety of services.

Be social: You could play Let’s Make a Deal on social media and have clients pick a “case” for a prize. Private message them the prize with an expiration date.

Looking ahead:

  • Start planning Father’s Day specials now.
  • Re-lamp or get those acrylics you put off for season while money is still coming in.
  • Start planning for your summer promotional calendars and specials. Distributors run many specials during season that you could stock up on for special days during summer.
  • Invest in one year-round service before summer starts such as sunless, red light therapy, or beauty/spa services.
