The holidays are now upon us, and one of my favorite things about it is all the great foods, cookies, and other goodies that make the holidays so festive. I can still remember as a child helping my mother shop at the grocery store for all the ingredients she would need to make our holiday feast and the goodies that go with it. She would make a list, check it twice, and off to the store we would go. She would start the process right after Thanksgiving and start filling the pantry with ingredients. This was a lot of work because both she and my father worked full time jobs and had a house with four boys. All the planning for Christmas was a job in itself.
